Description

The mould housing assembly is the steel billet forming equipment in the continuous casting machine, and is one of the core equipment of the continuous bloom caster or slab caster. During the solidification process when molten steel is injected into the copper mould to gradually form a shell with a certain thickness, the copper mould has always been affected by many factors such as static pressure of molten steel, friction, heat transfer of molten steel, etc., which makes the copper mould tube or copper mould plate under the comprehensive action of mechanical stress and thermal stress at the same time, and the working conditions are extremely bad. Under such bad conditions, the mold works for a long time, and its service condition is directly related to the performance of the continuous casting machine, And is closely related to the quality and output of the billet. Therefore, in addition to standardizing the production operation, selecting appropriate mold flux and avoiding mechanical damage, reasonable design is the basis and key to ensure the quality of the casting slab, reduce the leakage rate and improve the service life of the mold. The slab caster generally adopts four walls combined mold (i.e.copper mould plate), and there is also a plug-in structure in which a mold is used to cast multi strands slabs.
